The
Western Regional Account Executive serves as the principal representative
of the sales program throughout the
US
Western territory. Responsible
for key account relationship development, gathering information on
technical application developments and competitor activities, arranging
and delivering technical seminars, organizing and conducting
field-marketing activities.
Serve
in the field as the principal representative of the sales program
throughout assigned
US
territory.
Compile
lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads, based on
information from scientific journals, trade publications, Internet Web
sites, trade shows, and other sources.
Responsible
for account relationship identification and development in the assigned
territories.
Negotiate,
assist in/or prepare quotes and close sales.
Devise
strategies for all major accounts and territory.
Reliably
and effectively track and forecast sales within assigned territory.
Travel
up to 50% of the time throughout assigned territory or as required.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Qualified
candidates must possess a college degree, ideally in molecular biology or
a related discipline, M.S. or Ph.D. is desirable with a minimum of 1 year
of relevant laboratory experience and/or sales or business development,
preferably with an industrial organization.
