Sr.
Mechanical Engineer
Will lead and participate in the mechanical specification, design, development, and
integration of new plastics products within the Company's product portfolio. The primary
responsibilities of this position include applying engineering creativity to the design,
development, and test of product components to meet performance, quality,
manufacturability and reliability goals. Key challenges of this position include
translating market claims into design solutions utilizing knowledge of plastic fabrication
and processing methods with emphasis in cleanroom molding, polymer structures and material
behaviors.
Requirements
* Bachelor's Degree in Plastics and/or Mechanical Engineering (MS
preferred) with a minimum of three years experience in Product Development.
* Three years demonstrated experience with plastic part design,
fabrication methods, manufacturing process and material selection for plastic injection
molded components.
* Familiarity with a broad range of plastics processing and manufacturing
procedures.
* In-depth knowledge and understanding of fluid dynamics and fluid
properties preferred.
* Working knowledge of finite element analysis computer simulation packages
(e.g. ANSYS) and molding process simulation software (e.g. MOLDFLOW or equivalent CAE
software preferred).
* Working knowledge of MS Office Applications and Pro/Engineer.
* Proven sound judgment along with continuous innovation and improvement
and adaptability skills.
* Demonstrated creativity and strong problem solving techniques along with
values driven, high performance, sound judgment and detail orientation.
* Excellent written, persuasion and consensus building, listening, and verbal
communication skills.
