Pharmaceutical Scientist

Develop and evaluate formulations, processes and
equipment for chemical entities in the manufacture of
solid oral dose forms. Responsibilities include
preformulation characterization of the chemical entity
to identify its physical and chemical properties,
formulation of the dosage form and process development, scale-up batch and clinical supply manufacture. Will plan experimental investigations for product development.
Provide technical service support to Production. Prepare
project proposals, technical reports, and product
development reports. Participate in the preparation
of chemistry, manufacturing and controls documents
for ANDA submissions. Use statistical analysis techniques
in the evaluation of experimental results. May coordinate
the activities of Pharmaceutical Scientists, tech Writers,
and Technologists.

Requirements: BS in Pharmacy,
Chemistry or related discipline. 5-8 years training
and experience in product development or technical
services (or MS degree plus 3-5 years). Knowledge of
process and equipment involved in the manufacture of pharmaceuticals. Preformulations requirements and the investigative instrumentation, process development
and scale-up techniques.
