responsibility:
Development and scale up of stable mammalian cell lines.
Responsible
for leading a group in developing mammalian cell lines for high-yielding production of
recombinant and well-characterized proteins such as immunoglobulins.
Qualifications
Position
requires a Ph.D. in cell biology, biochemical engineering or molecular biology or
equivalent,
with at least 2 years experience in
development of mammalian stable cell lines
Culture
and transfection in appropriate cell lines
such as CHO and NS0.
Optimization
of media selection to both enhance productivity and simplify downstream processing.
Small-scale
(1-20L) bioreactors
Familiarity
with cGMP’s and with regulations pertaining
to the production of protein pharmaceutical products desired.
Experience
with different types of bioreactors
(stirred-tank, hollow-fiber, wave) and
larger-scale bioreactors (200-10,000L) desired.
